3 minute Doily Scarf

3 minute Doily Scarf

Make this cute scarf in no time using only 2/3 yards of knit fabric, a large doily, and a needle and thread

First thing you do is take your doily and make a cut from the outside to the center, like cutting the radius of a circle. This will create length in the doily.

Next, if you are hand sewing, make a basting stitch along the 2 smaller edges of your fabric (where the fabric will attach to the doily) and then pull the thread to gather the edges. Secure the gathering by tying knots in the thread on both ends.

If you are using a sewing machine, set your stitch length to the longest stitch and sew along the 2 smaller edges of your fabric. Pull the thread to gather the fabric and secure by tying knots.

Now you can pin the doily to the fabric! Take the top edge of the doily and pint to the gathering of one side of the fabric. Sew.

Do the same for the other side, making sure you are not twisting the doily or fabric.

You are done! See? 3 minutes. 🙂 Now go enjoy your new awesome scarf and make others jealous!
